During the evening of May 24th, a police officer stopped a gray Chevrolet Malibu for having a license plate light out in Brockton, Massachusetts. A check of the driver’s license revealed that it was revoked and the driver was a habitual traffic offender. The officer cited the driver and, fortunately, the driver contacted this office for help.
Attorney Paul Watkins, a former police officer, handled the case in Brockton District Court. It was important to win this case, because the client faced potential jail time. His record revealed 4 prior charges for Operating After Suspension or Revocation.
Yesterday, Attorney Watkins was able to get the charges dismissed. The dismissal prevented a new 4 year habitual traffic offender revocation, potential jail time, and an additional license suspension for driving while suspended.

This client had her license suspended due to an immediate threat medical complaint. The Mass. State Police filed the immediate threat complaint after she was found driving North in the Southbound Lane of Route 128 and she crashed head-on into three cars. Her vehicle was totaled.
